Refund Policy

By Clicking "Agree" on the registration form I agree to the following:

There is a $250 deposit fee for all programs. This deposit is non refundable or transferable and counts toward the total cost of the program purchased. *

Details of the program fees and their inclusions/exclusions are listed on the Airline Vigilantes website, under each specific trip.**

Program fees are due 8 weeks prior to the 1st of the month volunteers are due to start. Failure to make payment by this time may result in loss of placement and program fees. Your program (fee) is refundable (excluding any non-refundable amounts, eg deposits) until two calendar months before the 1st of the month you are due to begin your program. For example a volunteer with 15 August 2017 as their start date would need to submit their refund request form by the last day of May 2017 to be eligible for a refund.

Due to the high interest volume in our programs and the need to communicate with our partners, this allows Airline Vigilantes to fill vacant spots in appropriate time frames.

No refunds will be made after 8 weeks prior to the 1st of the month volunteers are due to start for any amount paid.

Examples:

1. A volunteer registers and pays their deposit 6 months before the project start date. They then cancel 5 months before the project start date, but before paying any further trip expense. They forfeit their deposit.

2. A volunteer registers and pays in full, including deposits, and then need to cancel, but before the 8 week deadline. They will be refunded all monies except the $250 non refundable deposit.

3. A volunteer registers, pays their deposit, then pays their full amount before the 8 week deadline. They then cancel 3 weeks before the program start date. They then forfeit all monies paid to Airline Vigilantes because of the late cancellation.

*Some trips have a $275.00USD nonrefundable deposit due to currency conversion rates

**Exception

Cuba project deposits and program fees are non-refundable or transferable. Please submit a "Contact Us" form from the tab above with any questions.

In the event a participant chooses to travel to any program via non-revenue or standby travel, no refund will be issued if they do not arrive to the project. Any time you choose to non-rev or travel standby, you assume the risk of not making flights. If you choose to non-rev please allow yourself many options, as well as time to get to your destination. We are willing to accommodate late arrivals to the best of our ability and will handle them on a case-by-case basis.

Payments and Processing

We reserve the right to revise the program fee. All program fee revisions will be announced at least seven days in advance via the website. Fee revisions will not apply retroactively to anyone already registered in a program.

All payments made to Airline Vigilantes will be acknowledged within two business days of receipt. Online payments will show a charge to Airline Vigilantes. All online payments are processed through a secure third party site which does not provide Airline Vigilantes with sensitive information such as credit card details.

The program fee is non-refundable in situations where a program is interrupted and/or cancelled during a placement, due to a Force Majeure (ie due to any circumstances beyond Airline Vigilantes reasonable control, including but not limited to Acts of God, war, acts of terrorism, riot or civil commotion, fire, strike and government or other official intervention).

If Airline Vigilantes cancels a program outside of the above reasons, your program fee is fully refundable.

In the case where a program is cancelled/closed impacting on your ability to begin on your confirmed start date because of Force Majeure (ie due to any circumstances beyond Airline Vigilantes reasonable control as outlined above), Airline Vigilantes will seek to find another placement within our programs for you.

No payments and or fees are refundable after trip completion.

Admittance Policy

We, Airline Vigilantes, reserve the right to deny any persons admittance to any project as we deem fit without notice or explanation. Denied admittance will be handled on a case-by-case basis if any monies are collected for registrations.

Where a trip involves work with children or vulnerable adults you will be required to agree to have an enhanced Criminal Records check done on you. If the criminal background check results are not received prior to the trip commencing or the results of any criminal background check, in our absolute discretion, indicate that you are not suitable to take part in the trip then we reserve the right to cancel or postpone your trip. In such circumstances no compensation will be payable by us to you and, unless postponed, we shall regard the trip as having been cancelled by you and cancellation charges shall apply. Whilst we may endeavor to accommodate you, depending on the results of the check, on an alternative trip we shall not be obliged to do so.
